Losing a beloved pet is one of the most heartbreaking experiences a pet owner can face. The grief of their absence often leaves us longing for a way to reconnect with them—whether in spirit or in body. For Herbert and Stef, the loss of their two cherished cockatiels, Buddy and Sunny, felt like a permanent void. But thanks to Stephanie L. Brown, PhD, and her incredible gift of animal communication, they were able to reunite with their feathered friends in ways they never thought possible.
This heartwarming story details their journey of communication with their cockatiels, through the other side and back again, demonstrating the profound connection we can have with our animal companions, even beyond life.
Here’s their story in their own words:
It is a pleasure to convey the many ways Stephanie L Brown PhD has assisted us in communicating with our cockatiels, both from the other side and in the body.
One year ago, my husband and I lost our 30-year-old cockatiel, Buddy, who had been pre-deceased five years earlier by his brother, Sunny. The sadness of Buddy’s passing sent us on a search for an animal communicator in hopes of connecting with him once more.
We found Stephanie Brown’s name on a list compiled by Penelope Smith, the “grandmother” of animal communication, and made an appointment to consult with her.
We were flabbergasted when Sunny came through and said, “I want to come back! I want to be in my home, with my flock.” Buddy, having been in Spirit a very short time, chimed in and asked, “But how will they find us?!”
We embarked with Stephanie on the process of answering that question. The short answer is, we found them in a pet store, after several attempts to get them through two breeders. Stephanie talked with the birds and helped us determine that the bird store we were considering was where we would find them. She also confirmed that they wanted to be boys again. Sunny said he wanted to be “extra pretty” (and he is!), and he insisted on keeping the name Sunny. Buddy, on the other hand, said a new name would be fine—as long as his middle name was Buddy. So, we named him Buddy again.
Now that we have two young cockatiels, we are convinced that Sunny is trying very hard to assure us that, “Hey, it’s me.” One day, he looked me straight in the eye and said, “Hello Sweetheart”—something both birds used to say to us in their last lives. He continues to greet us this way often!
These are definitely our boys.
Stephanie has had the gift of animal communication all her life. When she talks with your animals, it seems as natural as if she were speaking to you. The confirmation that life goes on, that your connection with your beloved animal never dies, and that animals are so much more intelligent than we imagined is a gift that enriches our appreciation of our animal companions.
Also, Stephanie’s background as a vet tech brings a valuable, physical grounding to the adventure of bringing your animal companions home to you in their new lives. Intentionally welcoming back your deceased pet’s spirit in a new body is a mind-blowing experience. It’s like a miracle, until you realize that this is how things really do work—as long as it best serves your animal friend’s soul progress.
We are so grateful to Stephanie for bringing us all back together again. Now that our boys are here, we continue to consult with her so they can have the happiest, healthiest new life with us.
We highly recommend Stephanie if your animal companions have health or behavioral concerns you’d like to address, or even if you’d just like to talk with them to know what makes them feel secure and happy.
